Fantasy Tournament official contest rules
Rules version: 2026-11-05. Operated by RacingReady Australia. Contact the organiser.
1. Who may enter
When entry is open, you must be at least 18 years old, be an Australian resident and be physically located in the same enabled Australian state or territory that you declare at entry. Only locations listed as currently enabled above may enter. All other locations, including New Zealand and other countries, are excluded. Australian or New Zealand race coverage is not a statement of entrant eligibility.
Use one genuine RacingReady member account per person. The organiser, staff administering the contest and their immediate families are excluded. You must confirm your eligibility and acceptance of the current rules on every selection or edit. The organiser may privately request reasonable proof of age, residence, location and identity before issuing a reward. A declaration alone does not guarantee eligibility.
2. Free registration and the weekly format
No purchase, wager, deposit, paid subscription or VIP membership is required. These rules apply from the week starting Monday 9 November 2026. Register on Saturday or Sunday, Australia/Sydney time, for the following Monday to Sunday week. Weeks run Monday 00:00 to the following Monday 00:00 Sydney time, including daylight saving changes, and scores do not carry over.
Each day one late Australian race is designated automatically: the latest supported race with an original scheduled start at or after 16:00 Sydney time. If no supported race is available that day, there is no designated race and no pick. You may select one runner per day and change it before the original scheduled start; a delayed jump does not reopen the lock. Picks are made on the signed-in Daily picks page in your member dashboard. Only selections saved by the server count, and there is no automatic replacement for scratchings.
On joining you may opt in to an email reminder one hour before each daily race. It is optional and can be turned off at any time on the Daily picks page in your dashboard.
3. Scoring with the official starting price
Base points are 10 for first, 5 for second and 3 for third. Each selected horse's base points are multiplied by that horse's official decimal win starting price (SP). Place odds are never used. Examples: a winner at 2.00 scores 10 x 2 = 20; a second placegetter at 4.00 scores 5 x 4 = 20. Totals are shown to a maximum of two decimal places.
All other finishes, scratched runners and abandoned races score 0. No arbitrary or fallback odds are applied. Dead heats receive the points for the official placing recorded, multiplied by each horse's own SP. Points have no monetary value.
4. Verification
An administrator verifies each result and SP against an official racing source. Member-reported wins or losses never establish a result. Scores are provisional until verified and reviewed.
5. Proposed rewards and ties
The top three players each win an entry ticket into a major external Draftstars Australia horse-racing fantasy draft, purchased by RacingReady. The reward is an entry ticket, not a cash payout. RacingReady sets the entry and scoring rules for this competition. Separate provider conditions apply when redeeming or using a prize ticket; exact ticket availability, eligibility and transfer conditions remain subject to confirmation. No affiliation with or sponsorship by Draftstars or any provider is implied.
Ties across the third-place boundary are reviewed and decided by an administrator. Tickets are not issued automatically. Historical weeks already frozen with cash awards under earlier rules keep those awards unchanged.
6. Provisional standings, corrections and disputes
Standings are provisional until the week closes, every entered race is verified and an administrator reviews and freezes the weekly standings. A “Final” label means this reviewed snapshot has been frozen; eligibility and reward checks still apply. Before winner contact or reward issue, an administrator can reopen the ledger with a recorded reason, correct official results and review a new snapshot. Once contact, a notice attempt or reward issue is recorded, the issued snapshot is preserved; further corrections or disputes require private reconciliation with the organiser rather than silently changing awards or issuing duplicate rewards.
Report a suspected error through Contact Us, quoting the week and race, preferably within 7 calendar days of final standings. The organiser reviews official evidence, corrects affected scores and tells affected winners about material changes. Rewards may be held while a genuine dispute or correction is resolved.
7. Disqualification and fair play
Ineligible entrants, multiple accounts, false declarations, collusion, automated entry abuse, tampering and attempts to bypass the selection lock may lead to withheld rewards and account disqualification after review. Blocked accounts are excluded from the standings. The organiser may request an explanation and evidence, remove affected entries and recalculate rankings before confirming rewards. Contact the organiser if you believe a decision is wrong. No eligible member is favoured because they pay for VIP.
8. Reward fulfilment and personal information
The team contacts top-three members using their account contact details after results, tie review and eligibility checks. RacingReady purchases and arranges tickets manually subject to the provider's conditions; there is no cash alternative, automatic issue or wallet balance. Historical cash awards from earlier frozen weeks are handled under the rules in force at that time.
Keep account contact details current and respond to private requests. Never post identity documents or banking details in public comments. Data used for eligibility and reward fulfilment is handled under the Privacy Policy. Your rules version, declared location and acknowledgement time are saved with your selection but not published in standings.
9. Changes, suspension and other terms
The organiser may suspend entry for legal, integrity or technical reasons and will explain material changes on the tournament page. Changes must not unfairly remove accrued rights. A new rules version requires a fresh acknowledgement on entry. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded. These rules supplement the Terms of Use; these contest-specific conditions govern tournament entry where the two differ, subject to applicable law.
This is an original RacingReady competition governed by RacingReady's own rules. No affiliation with or sponsorship by Draftstars or any wagering operator is implied.
Do I need VIP to enter?
No. Entry is free for eligible members aged 18 or older in enabled Australian locations when the contest opens. A paid subscription is never required. Entry stays closed until the owner confirms required legal review, eligible locations and reward ticket terms.
